Four consultation events are being held to discuss proposed changes to vascular services in Merseyside and Cheshire.
Vascular services are for people with narrowing of arteries, blocked vessels and varicose veins but not diseases of the heart and vessels in the chest. The proposal is that two specialist arterial centres would carry out the most complex type of vascular surgery, rather than at local hospitals. The 2 specialist centres would be the Royal Liverpool and the Countess of Chester Hospital.
The consultation events will be held on:
Friday 24 February 10am-2pm at Aintree Racecourse, Ormskirk Road, Aintree
Friday 2 March 10am-2pm at Halliwell Road Stadium, Winwick Road, Warrington
Wed 28 March 10am-2pm at World of Glass, Chalon Way East, St Helens
Tue 2 April 10am-2pm at Stobart Stadium, Lowerhouse Lane, Widnes.
