Tell us Your Story!

St Helens LINk is asking people to tell us their stories about receiving health and social care services.

The three areas we are focusing on are Access to Information, Staff Attitudes and Hygiene as these were the issues that people in St Helens said were most important to them when asked in 2009. They have also formed the basis of our workplan.

We are distributing 5,000 Freepost postcards through venues such as libraries, GP surgeries, pharmacies and community centres asking people to share their experiences in relation to these issues. This could be having difficulty finding out about a health condition once diagnosed, experiencing poor standards of hygiene or staff not treating patients with respect. Sending the postcard back is free and confidential and once the postcards are returned, LINk can then build up a picture of evidence. As an independent network, we can then use this evidence to work with the NHS and Council to tackle examples of poor service.

People can also give their views by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or telephoning 01744 457119. Please contact us if your group or organisation can help us to distribute postcards.
