A new Board has been elected to lead the work of St Helens LINk in the year ahead.

Elections were held on Saturday 5 June at the United Reformed Church in St Helens. The Board has two new members, Eddie Cunningham and Joan Young who join Roman Babij, Jonathon Griffiths, Margaret Leys, Bernie Lightfoot, Sam Omar, Brenda Smith and Claire Wildman. 

Councillor Joe Pearson spoke on a range of topics within Adult Health and Social Care including regulations of care homes, the need for more funding for mental health care, the measures in place to tackle elder abuse and the need for more local respite care facilities.

Claire Wildman, previous LINk Chair, gave an overview of LINk's work in the past year and Emma Rodriguez Dos Santos highlighted transport and Dignity in Care as two priority issues in the forthcoming year.
