People interested and experienced in health research or public health are being asked to join the panels of a national organisation.

NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre is home to a number of health and public health research programmes and is part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). It has vacancies for public members on the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) prioritisations panels and Public Health Research Programme Advisory Board.

Members of the public need to be involved in research because research that takes account of the views, experience and understanding of members of the public is more likely to provide useful results for the NHS. Panel members should be willing to attend meetings in London 4 times a year, training courses and be committed to reading through paperwork. A fee will be payable.
