People worried about being able to pay their winter fuel bills are being encouraged to call the Home Heat Helpline.
The Helpline provides independent advice to people on low incomes on how to get help with
gas and electricity bills, including grants for insulations and new boilers, discount or rebate schemes and other help with keeping warm. One in ten UK households are entitled to some sort of help with their fuel bills but many people don't know what help is available.
The helpline number is 0800 33 66 99.
The advice is free and the helpline is open from 9am - 8pm Monday - Friday, 10am-2pm on Saturdays. People can also access the service online by visiting www.homeheathelpline.org.uk
